Itinerary description

This is a much longer, but also much more interesting alternative to the asphalt of the Camino de Santiago. It is a two days hike (or a very long one day hike). You can find the first part here:

Day 1: Santander - Soto de Marina (21,5 km)
Day 2: Soto de Marina - Boo de Piélagos (13,5 km)

I left my car at the trainstation in Boo and took a Feve train to Santander. In Soto de Marina there are several options to stay.

I tried to follow the coastline as much as I could, but it is possible that I still missed options. In Liencres just before Playa de Cerrias I couldn't continue along the coast, because the path was fenced off for maintenance.

Here starts a beautiful coastal path along the cliffs, but this might not be the best option for people with vertigo. You could instead take a shortcut through Liences a bit earlier on.
