Itinerary description
At the waymarked bus stop, catch the urban bus route "S" to Son Abaixo north of the city centre. This bus is infrequent so you may need to walk or take a taxi. From Son Abaixo, walk on dirt roads, forrest tracks and quiet lanes back to the city. Near the end of the route, you will follow a beautiful river valley. Our GPS track ended near the Cathedral. For some reason my eTrex vista decided I climbed to 29999 metres - sorry! So 60km of the route is vertical! The true distance is 11.9 km.
