Itinerary description
A beautiful walk from Santiago del Teide onto the Chinyero lava fields, from where it descends to the village of Arguayo. From the village, the route follows a path around Roque Arguayo with spectacular views into the Santiago Valley. Where the path meets with the ring-road it joins a path between walls before passing through a tunnel under the road. Once through the tunnel, turn right uphill and follow the track back to Santiago. The walk is quite tiring as it crosses a lot of uneven ground.
