Incredible two-day route through the Sapa mountains.
Day 1
The trekking begins in the square of Sapa Town, descending along the road to a small path that we take to the left.
The descent is a narrow, paved road that allows you to enjoy the famous rice terraces.
After a few meters we turned onto an unpaved road that was somewhat slippery, especially in the rainy season, but not dangerous.
After this point we return to a long paved road that will take us to a local food restaurant where we will eat. Throughout this journey we will enjoy the beautiful landscapes that this essential area of Vietnam gives us.
After eating we resume the walk along the same path this time passing by scattered houses that form small towns, by the old school, by the new school under construction until we reach a workshop for weaving typical garments.
At this point we made the decision to take a slightly longer path but one that runs along the side of a mountain. This path, like so many others, can be complicated with rain and inadequate footwear.
Before arriving at the place where we will spend the night, we visit a beautiful waterfall where we will cool off. After the dip we cross an old bridge and arrive at the house where a local family made up of parents and their four children make us spend a wonderful stay preparing a delicious dinner.
The first day's route is about 15km.
Day 2
We got up around 8am and after a good breakfast we started the second day of the route.
As soon as we started walking we took a cobblestone path that was somewhat demanding for such an early stage, but it helps you start sweating and forget about any other soreness.
This route is not circular and we hired it with a guide. At the end of the route a bus was waiting for us that took us to the center of Sapa. If you want to circulate it, at kilometer 16 of our route, you will connect with a road that can take you to Sapa.
The second part runs along small paths with a lot of vegetation. It is not as attractive as the first day but it has corners worth seeing.
