Itinerary description
From the scenic and beautifully situated village of Sayalonga there are quite a few well-signposted walking trails.
We chose to combine a few and, moreover, from the top of Pico Rabita we chose to follow a narrow track that was not on our map but led us to a concrete road.
The walk is very beautiful from beginning to end. Rising from 340 metres to 670 metres along a concrete road and dirt track the walking is easy and the climbing gradual, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the marvellous views especially of the slowly disappearing village of Sayalonga and the appearing villages of Curumbela. Canillas de Albeida, Competa, and Archez.
From the top of Rabita you will have a 360-degree-view.
After the descent to the road the rest of the walk is for the greates part along very quiet concrete roads and dirt tracks, giving you superb views all the time.
