Itinerary description
Starting at Sao Martinho do Campo. A scenic loop along both sides of the Rio Ferreira, including the village of Couce.
It is a very pleasant hike with lovely views of the river. It also passes some riverside ruins that appear to have been an old water mill.
This hike can be accessed via public transport, for those who do not have their own vehicle. The start point is a 10-minute walk from the Sao Martinho do Campo railway station, if you walk on the path alongside the railway line and over the railway bridge. However, if you follow Google Maps directions, it will take you via public roads and will be a 39-minute walk. The train from Porto Sao Bento takes 28 minutes and costs €1.80 each way.
There is a nice local restaurant very close to the railway station, for food/drink after the hike: Adega Regional O Mineiro.

It is a beautiful trail but due to the difficulty of the beginning of the trail it should not be considered moderate.

Bom trilho!👌 Para quem não está habituado ter atenção aos desníveis. Mas de uma forma geral faz-se muito bem.
