Trekked this today with our family of five (kids 12, 14, and 15 years old). Fantastic hike. Beautiful scenery. Some wildlife. The river is fantastically clear.
We parked a little bit farther upriver than the map suggests. Cut the distance by less than a km of urban walking. We spent four hrs on the trail - stopped frequently for cool snakes and lizards, lunch, and photos. The whole thing was just enough to wear us out, but satisfyingly.
Very few people on the trail though it was a holiday.
