Itinerary description
Beautiful walk with starting point about 4 km away from the Abrucena village. The first part (3 km) is a tough part going up in the mountains until you reach the La Roza recreational area. As from there you enter the Sierra Nevada national park, the road keeps on going up, but less tough than before. After about 10 km (from the starting point) you have reached a hight of almost 1.700 meters. A small road takes you down to the valley. Be careful, the angle of inclination is up to 45% at some points which can be dangerous, especially with the loose stones. The last 2,5 km take you through a field with almond trees. During the whole walk you can enjoy breathtaking views over the Sierra Nevada mountains and with a little chance, you might cross animals like snakes, roebucks or harts.
