Spectacular trail for its landscapes, especially when reaching Preikestolen, a rocky outcrop with vertical cliffs on the "fjord of La Luz" (Lysefjord). An unforgettable experience.
The path is difficult to do, as it runs through very rugged places, in some sections, especially when approaching Preikestolesn, very dangerous, as it runs along an August path on the edge of the cliff with very vertical walls, but it also turns it into special. In other sections you have to climb very steep stairs, such as "The Trolls Staircase", in others you go through marshy areas that are fortunately adapted with wooden walkways, in other sections you have to follow your instinct since there is no proper path, If not, it runs through the country. This makes the trail very attractive, however, despite its difficulty, it is a very popular tourist attraction in summer.
The weather is very changeable in the area, rain is common on the route, so a raincoat must be added to the usual recommendations for footwear, water and food.
In the visitor center, starting and finishing point, you have all the information available to make this attractive and recommended trail.
