Sendero Alcornocal Roza del Aguado
This short walk starts on the outskirts of La Cala de Mijas.
There is plenty of parking at the start of the walk. It only takes 10 minutes from the heart of La Cala walking up Avenida Mare Nostrum.
This walk goes through the botanical park Roza del Aguado, which goes uphill to the Mirador (de la Roza del Aguado), which has really good panoramic views. Part of the route is a bit steep and a walking pole would be advantageous especially for the descent, (as it is a bit loose underfoot). It’s a pleasant walk with lots of plants and trees. There are name plaques and information points naming the plants and trees.
A nice little circuit, short and sweet.
