Camino de la Dehesa – Fuente de Los Hornaos PR-A 270
To make it easier I started this walk in the main car park of Casarabonela, and then made my way to the start of the walk along the MA 5401. The climb up was an old roman road (Calzada).
This initial trail picks up the Puerto Martinez to Jorox Pista forestal track, where you have to turn left, circumnavigating Sierra Prieta and it’s peaceful valley, with Casarabonela underneath (and hidden most of the time).
Starting the descent on a narrow track it brings you to the Hornao fountain, then leading you up to the Mirador of the Tajo del Naranjal.
The walk ends near El Llano Cristobal (picnic area).
From here I took the best route through the village to get back to the car park,
This walk has beautiful scenery and is a good hike. There are several tapas bars to recharge your batteries after the walk, in the village.
