Itinerary description
Sendero del Barranco del Cercado de San Andrés. 7km - 600m klimmen.
Wandelen door het grootste palmbos van Tenerife met een stevige klim van 600 hoogtemeters dwars door Anaga. Lastige maar prachtige route! Normaal ben ik geen fan van heen- en terug-routes, maar deze was echt heerlijk qua natuur en op geen enkel moment vervelend! Aan het startpunt kwakende kikkers in de poeltjes van het riviertje door het mooie palmenbos. Daarna kwam het serieuzere werk, een stevige klim tot aan de weg boven op 800m hoogte. Hier en daar enkele smalle passages, dus best geen hoogtevrees! Voor de rest een topper , deze route!

Walk through Tenerife's largest palm grove with a tough 600-metre climb right through Anaga. Tricky but beautiful route! Normally I'm not a fan of out-and-back routes, but this one was really lovely in terms of nature and at no point tedious! At the starting point, frogs croaked in the pools of the small river through the beautiful palm forest. Then came the more serious work, a tough climb up to the road above at 800m altitude. Some narrow passages here and there, so best not to be afraid of heights! Other than that, this route is a winner!
