Sendero fluvial Coín-Guadalhorce (PR-A 496) en sentido inverso (w/ English version)

Este track describe el recorrido del sendero fluvial Coín-Guadalhorce, pero en sentido inverso, empezando desde el río Guadalhorce. Se trata de un PR, el PR-A 496, inaugurado recientemente, concretamente en abril de 2023. Para su realización, dejamos un vehículo al final (https://goo.gl/maps/89YNR97AnAqqb6E96) y nos dirigimos con otro vehículo hasta el inicio del track (https://goo.gl/maps/MDSDkttHK3HTYxii7). De esta manera, solo hubo que hacerlo "de ida".

Empezamos el recorrido junto al cauce del río Guadalhorce. Justo por este punto, pero en su orilla opuesta, pasa la parte "Sur" de la Gran Senda del Guadalhorce (GR-248) que va desde la desembocadura del río hasta la estación de "el Chorro" (https://es.wikiloc.com/rutas-senderismo/gran-senda-del-guadalhorce-sur-gr-248-primera-parte-desembocadura-del-guadalhorce-pizarra-with-engl-134638123)
En poco tiempo, llegados a la confluencia con el río Grande, que, pese a tratarse de un afluente, parece aportar más caudal que el que viene del curso principal. Tomamos el río Grande y dejamos el cauce del Guadalhorce, que dibuja aquí una hoz y emprende dirección norte buscando Pizarra.
Inmediatamente, nos topamos con las instalaciones del BRICA (Brigada de Refuerzo contra Incendios de Andalucía) que consta, aquí, de una pista para el aterrizaje de avionetas, un helipuerto y demás dependencias. Cruzamos por debajo de la carretera A-357 y continuamos por un eucaliptal. En poco tiempo, cruzamos el carril de la Loma de los Muertos, que se dirige a Zalea. El río, que nace en la surgencia de Zarzalones, al pie de la Sierra de las Nieves -un lugar espectacular-, no tiene buen aspecto en todo este tramo. El caudal es escaso y las aguas están turbias.
Más adelante, dejamos el río Grande, en el paraje conocido como "las Juntillas", y tomamos a la izquierda el río Pereilas, que viene seco, aunque, a medida que remontamos el cauce, su caudal aumenta algo. Con ello, abandonamos el término municipal de Cártama, que traíamos desde el principio de la ruta, y entramos en el de Coín. El río Pereilas tiene un gran valor ambiental. Prueba de ello es que forma parte de la Red Natura 2000 como Zona Especial de Conservación. Nace en las peridotitas de la sierra Alpujata.
Llegamos al puente de los Tubos, que soporta una carretera asfaltada que recorre todas estas fértiles tierras agrícolas. Nos apartamos, aquí, del cauce del Pereilas para tomar el río Bajo, que es apenas un hilillo de agua. Este último tramo es muy bonito, y el más adecentado por el ayuntamiento de Coín y la diputación para la señalización del PR que estamos transitando. Se atraviesan exuberantes campos de cultivos de esplendorosos árboles frutales, como, por ejemplo, grandes ejemplares de pacanos. No obstante, las aguas que trae el río no parecen estar en buen estado porque huelen mal.
El recorrido termina en un amplio aparcamiento, en la misma trama urbana de Coín, junto al colegio público Ximénez de Guzmán.

This track describes the route of the Coín-Guadalhorce river path, but in the opposite direction, starting from the Guadalhorce River. It is a PR, the PR-A 496, recently inaugurated, specifically in April 2023. We started the tour next to the bed of the Guadalhorce River. Right at this point, but on its opposite bank, the "South" part of the Great Guadalhorce Path (GR-248) passes from the mouth of the river to the "el Chorro" station (https://es.wikiloc.com/rutas-senderismo/gran-senda-del-guadalhorce-sur-gr-248-primera-parte

In a short time, arrived at the confluence with the Rio Grande, which, despite being a tributary, seems to provide more flow than the one that comes from the main course. We take the Rio Grande and leave the bed of the Guadalhorce, which draws a sickle here and takes a northerly direction looking for Pizarra.

Immediately, we came across the facilities of the BRICA (Fire Reinforcement Brigade of Andalusia) which consists, here, of a runway for the landing of small planes, a heliport and other dependencies. We cross under the A-357 road and continue on an eucalyptus. In a short time, we crossed the lane of the Loma de los muertos, which goes to Zalea. The river, which rises in the upwell of Zarzalones, at the foot of the Sierra de las Nieves - a spectacular place - does not look good in this entire section. The flow is scarce and the waters are murky.

Later, we leave the Rio Grande, in the place known as "las Juntillas", and take the Pereilas River on the left, which comes dry, although, as we go up the bed, its flow increases somewhat. With this, we left the municipality of Cártama, which we brought from the beginning of the route, and entered that of Coín. The Pereilas River has a great environmental value. Proof of this is that it is part of the Natura 2000 Network as a Special Conservation Area. It was born in the peridotitas of the Alpujata mountain range.

We arrive at the Puente de los Tubos, which supports an asphalt road that runs through all these fertile agricultural lands. Here, we move away from the Pereilas riverbed to take the Bajo River, which is just a thread of water. This last section is very beautiful, and the most specialized by the municipality of Coín and the deputation for the signaling of the PR that we are transiting. Exuberant fields of crops of splendid fruit trees are crossed, such as, for example, large specimens of pecans.

The tour ends in a large parking lot, in the same urban plot of Coín, next to the Ximénez de Guzmán public school.
