Itinerary description
Amazing trail in the Amalfi Coast in Italy from the small town of Bomerano to Nocelle and down to Positano. The views of the mountains and the coast are amazing. You can even see the island of Capri in the distance. It is known as the most beautiful trail in the region.
At km 2, the trail splits into two alternate paths. We took the lower path which is the most used and has spectacular sea views. You can even stop at a farm house to get a granita de limone.
The trail is mostly downhill however it requires effort due to the heat (in June). From Nocelle is a long stair down to Positano, which frankly it is not worth it as the view is very restricted. Better to take the bus down from Nocelle. We did use the stairs to get to the road but we regret it.
To get to start of the trail in Bomerano, you can take a bus from Amalfi. The trail starts in the square where the bus stops.
There are a few places to get water during the trail.
