Serbia: E4 Long Distance European Trail from Vratna Monastery to Krivelj

This track is the route of the E4 European Long Distance Trail from Vratna Monastery to Krivelj in Serbia based on Map 10 of "Rambling through Serbia at a slow pace", a booklet published by Planinarski Savez Srbije (PSS), the Serbian Mountain Association. While the track is close to the trail described in the booklet, I cannot guarantee it is the exact route or indeed the best, all I can say is that I successfully walked it in April 2018. Starting from the dramatic natural, limestone bridges in Vratna canyon the trail passes Vratna Monastery, and continues over farmland and through wooded areas to reach the ruins of a Roman palace by Sarkamen. It visits the town of Negotin and then cross the river plain to the confluence of the Danube and Timok, before doubling back to the village of Mokranje with its double waterfall. An area of woods and vineyards follow with characteristic wine cellars (pimnice) and traditional villages before the route crosses farmland to reach the wooded foothills of Deli Jovan. It crosses a broad valley and climbs to the base of the mountain of Stol, and then continues to Veliki Krivelj. This final section through Veliki Krivelj is not as per "Rambling through Serbia" in which the route crosses the ridge of Veliki Krs, however, I could not work out the way down Veliki Krs on the south west side. I have also flagged an overgrown section of trail between the villages of Rajac and Tamnic that hikers should be prepared for (or avoid).
