Itinerary description
Circular walk through the Vall d’Anisclo and the village of Sercué
The itinerary begins at La Ereta de Biés, a small car park (marked “parking San Urbez on Google maps) on the curve of the road, next to the Puente de San Úrbez.
From the esplanade, take a path to the SE marked “Cañón de Añisclo” and go down to cross the Puente de San Úrbez, where the GR-15 follows the main road through the valley.
Pass by the rock hermitage of San Úrbez, and shortly afterwards ignore a track to the left signed “San Úrbez loop”
The GPS signal struggled in the high sided valley but simply stay on the very obvious track until you cross the river at the Sangons bridge.
Immediately, at a crossroads, take the path to the left that leaves the bottom of the valley and ascends steeply (following the GR 15).
After crossing the Portillo pass, you will reach the small village of Sercué.
From the lower part of the town, the GR15 goes right but you go straight ahead following a sign for San Úrbez and descend to the Biandico ravine, before cross an stone bridge called Las Espuciallas.
The path goes up to the Nerín and Fanlo road which you turn left to follow. At a junction where the road right leads to Buerba y Vió continué straight ahead on the tarmac road.
Shortly afterwards, leave the road to the left along a path marked "Cañón de Añisclo" that descends until reaching the Ereta de Biés car parked where you started.
(Note: the GPS route starts further up the road as I had to park a little way from the car park)
