Itinerary description
A linear walk 14 km 5 h from just outside the village of Serrato to the town of Ardales. We drive up into the campo past Ardales, where the views are spectacular, take the turning towards Téba and Ronda to our breakfast stop at Venta “El Meson de Diego” approximately 15km from the start of the walk.
We will be dropped off 2km past Serrato up the hill at the start of the track on the left. (Way Mark)The first kilometre is downhill following a broad track.
We continue downhill to a paved roadway and following this to the right it becomes a broad track and we continue a gentle climb to the ridge. From here it is basically downhill with a few short climbs along a good wide track.
We start by walking through the pine forest with lovely views to the Sierra de Ronda. We pass the ruins of the Moorish Castillo de Turón. We follow the river for a short distance and cross it on the old roman bridge. We avoid going into Ardales and the Venta “El Cruce” is a short distance away. The coach will be waiting for us here
