Itinerary description

It was a hell of a day. Fog covering the whole island, strong winds, heavy rain ...
I couldn't even take my camera and use the drone.
I was moving around the whole island, hoping that the weather would change, with no luck.
So I decided to do the hike, even a small part of it.
I parked the car and started my hike on the dirt road.
After 250 m, you take your left and do a small detour to reach Lagoa Do Canario.
From there, you go back to the dirt road and continue the hike in the middle of an amazing rain forest.
I was mesmerised by the type of vegetation, and I could easily relate now why they call the Azores the "European Hawaii"
After 1.4 Km from the starting point, I reached the "Miradouro Da Boca Do Inferno". There, you are supposed to have a breathtaking view over the area, some craters, Lagoa Rosa, and Lagoa De Santiago but the fog was covering everything, and it started to rain.
I decided to close the loop and reach back the car.
The area is mostly covered with pine trees and hydrangea flowers.

I will definitely go back and have more time to enjoy the islands.

Enjoy and keep it clean !!!
