A small group of us friends hiked In Wadi Shah area connecting 7 villages in the area using existing/ new trails laid by RAKTDA in 2022.
Part of this trail is from Highlander UAE 2022 event held in November 2022.
THANK YOU RAK !!
The views are superb.
The trail quality is very good and nice experience.
We connected
1. Sal Shuha (Hidden Oasis)
2. Shahha Village.
3. Dakkadwah village
4. Qusaidah village.
5. Khamed Village.
6. Musaibat village.
7. Qurooh village.
It was 16 Kms hike loop with 1100 meters elevation gain.
We completed the Hike within 8 hours with decent pace.
We started from the start point of Hidden Oasis route.
we parked somewhere here.

Most of this hike is a well laid, visible and safe trail.
The approach path that we took towards 5th village named Khamed is steep down for 100 meters and loose rocks and needed good balancing.
Once there, the hike towards the 6th Village named Musaibat was on the mountain surface without any trail, but safe enough.
For beginners, you could avoid Village #5 altogether and continue towards Village #6 via the well visible trail that will lead you on.
The whole hike was safe, no ropes business, no bouldering, and gradual inclines.
The main ascents are in sections ie 1. Hidden Oasis and 2. Staircase to Shahha village.
Overall this hike is a nice one with great views of Jais area, Jebel Rahabah, Jais lower trails, Wadi Shah loop, Yabana mountain etc.
Shahha, Khamed and Musaibat have active life around with goats and caretakers.
Other villages are in disused condition and in ruins.
Even fit beginner hikers can doo this hike and worse case scenario, you could choose to return back from 2nd village of Shahha instead of going the full loop.
Be safe, prepare well, Do not over estimate and enjoy your moments in the middle of nowhere.
Take back all your rubbish with you.
Do Not Try Any Mountain Hikes If You Do Not Understand The Mountain Terrains, Dangers From Wildlife, First Aid, Hydration And Snacks, Your Own Fitness, Remote Activity Preparations, Communication Tools, Mountain Geography, Topography, Risk Factors, HSE Requirements, Hiking Risks, Fitness Level Of The Group Members.
