This hike is basically along the ridge of the mountains that you see on your right side while driving from Wadi Bih Roundabout towards Wadi Shah on the Jebel Jais road.
As this is one way hike, we had to park cars at both ends.
The starting point is somewhere here. You can park in the vicinity, provided you park safely.
25.847757, 56.099102
The end point is somewhere here. Parking is along the road, as long as it does not trouble the traffic.
25.889205, 56.129881
We started at road level just after the Wadi Bih roundabout, hiked up and down over the mountain surface all the way for about 9 kms, hiked through some interesting terrain and geology, villages and descended to the road level closer to Wadi Far.
It was a nice one way hike, although it has it's own challenges such as Pricky large crude boulders, Scrambling, uneven surfaces, loose rocks, imbalanced Wadi Walk and exposed edges in few places.
You will need good hiking gloves to safeguard your palm and fingers while scrambling on rough and pricky rocks.
Long pants will be helpful to avoid bruises on legs.
Even once on the plateau, the terrain is up and down and it keeps on surprising you with multi summits.
Take care of your footing and do not venture very close to the ridge ends for safety.
Do Not Try Any Mountain Hikes If You Do Not Understand The Mountain Terrains, Dangers From Wildlife, First Aid, Hydration And Snacks, Your Own Fitness, Remote Activity Preparations, Communication Tools, Mountain Geography, Topography, Risk Factors, HSE Requirements, Hiking Risks, Fitness Level Of The Group Members.
Study All Above Matters Well Before Following Any Trails That You Find Online. Please Do Not Over Estimate Yourself.
Better Be Safe Than Put Yourself / Group In Danger And Regret Later.
Lately We Have Seen A Lot Of Unwanted Hiking Incidents That Could Have Been Avoided With Better Preparation.
Wish You All The Best.
