It is a well marked trail with stone markers Cairns all the way, keep looking for them every few meters and do not remove or destroy them, they are required for other hikers.
We parked the cars bit away from the Trailhead. Even Sedan cars can be brought as close as possible to the Trailhead and it will save you from Flat Wadi walking.
The best parking space for all cars is about as below.
25.715300, 56.113984
The Wadi has nice section of Picturesque Flat Polished White Boulders, Polished round Boulders, Raw big Rocks and then Manmade donkey path with cemented rocky stairs that are very helpful for Stability.
There is a Big Cave known as Bat Cave somewhere at the midpoint of the Hike in the left side. I have previously climbed into it, but didn't explore it much. Some weird animal shout was heard that time. The climb to the Cave is bit tricky, take care and be safe.
This Hike is the best to gain an elevation of 500+ meters over a short distance, Beautiful Narrow Wadis and nice view from the top.
The Sheri village at the top is small and neat. The stone houses are beautiful.
Please do not dirty or open any houses / compounds fences.
There are lots of options to extend the hike from the summit village of Sheri.
With proper planning and preparations, You could hike up all the way to Difan village / Wadi Sidaqa, Wadi Taween, Yibir mountain or to Baqal village and back to Wadi Naqab.
Be safe, prepare well, Do not over estimate and enjoy your moments in the middle of nowhere.
Take back all your rubbish with you.
Do Not Try Any Mountain Hikes If You Do Not Understand The Mountain Terrains, Dangers From Wildlife, First Aid, Hydration And Snacks, Your Own Fitness, Remote Activity Preparations, Communication Tools, Mountain Geography, Topography, Risk Factors, HSE Requirements, Hiking Risks, Fitness Level Of The Group Members.
Study All Above Matters Well Before Following Any Trails That You Find Online. Please Do Not Over Estimate Yourself.
Better Be Safe Than Put Yourself / Group In Danger And Regret Later.
Lately We Have Seen A Lot Of Unwanted Hiking Incidents That Could Have Been Avoided With Better Preparation.
Wish You All The Best.

Hi Patrick,
how come this is only 4 something kms? you have another trail recorded with 8.5 kms for this same hike right? i wanted to use that one as it has a different descent route.
i did this hike, but turned around before the last 30 mins or so before the village, as we wanted to get back to base before it got dark.
Hello there,
I dont know your name, so its a plain greeting.
This recording is of a popular trail that starts at Wadi Naqab and reached the Sheri village straight forward via a well marked ( Cairns ) and some manmade path / steps etc.
I am not sure which other trail you are mentioning about.
This trail is 4 Kms one way, so in total it would be 8 Kms.
To enjoy the hike, it is always best to start in the morning to save from Sunlight in the Wadi and also to get enough light. As it is a deep Wadi, the area becomes dark even before actual sunset.
Enjoy hiking and be safe.
