Itinerary description
Beautiful trail in Nava, Asturias. Everything you can expect: rivers, the sickles of course, mountains, sea views, a lot of fauna...
The trail goes next/through the sickles of the river Pendón. It is a easy tour that counts with lots of signs (just the sickles) what makes it easy to follow.
During the ascension to Varallonga, there are no signs or path, but the rocky fields are well used by the local animals, so it is pretty steady. Just find your own path to reach the top. This second alternative ascension is not compulsory. You will have to do the peak, and come back to the Sickle of Pendón river. It is your own decision.
Note: on the top of the peak we found a cloud of bees and other flying insects... it was annoying, reason why we went down to have lunch in a quieter space.
At the beginning of the rout there are 5-6 free parking spots. There are another parking, but is private, just for the employees of a near factory.
