Itinerary description
This is a classic walk, the Pr Cv 7, in these surroundings and one that should not be missed if you stay here.
You wil experience the countryside here in all its aspects.
A beautiful starting place with good views both of the Bernia and of the coast. A fantastic climb from 600 to 800 metres along a sometimes rugged track, where you really have to take care of staying on the right track, marked yellow/white and also by a pinkish/orange dot.
A 20-metre tunnel that you cannot walk through but will have to do on your knees or sitting. Not to worry, it is only twenty metres and you will see the light at the end of it.
Then an overwhelming cave at the end of the tunnel with majestic views on Altea and Benidorm, the plains of Alicante and even the Cabo de Palos near Cartagena.
Then a long stretch along the steep precipices of the Bernia, remaining for almost 5 kilometres between a heighth of 750 to 800 metres.
After that the ruins of an old fort from where you could follow a track to the summit of the Bernia(1126m.)
Then an overwhelming part with views to the plonging depths of the Morro Penyal and finally as you pass the end of the Bernia views to Cap d'Or and the Montgó.
This walk is not difficult but there are moments that you will have to use your hands.
We think that this is one of the most beautiful and diverse walks of the whole region.

Beautiful and very versatile views. It was fun to go through the hole and exit on the other side of the mountain. Highest recommendation!
