<<< English follows >>> Subimos el puerto de Opakua desde el pueblo del mismo nombre. Nada más llegar arriba, a la derecha se puede dejar el coche. Para comenzar la ruta hay que retroceder un poco siguiendo la carretera porque el inicio está en el arcén de la derecha. Nada más comenzar llegamos al Mirador de Opakua, con vistas sobre el Corredor de Sakana. A lo largo de la ruta nos encontraremos un par de bordas y bosques de hayas con algunos ejemplares espléndidos. Lamentablemente, en esta época del año están sin hojas y abundan más los colores ocres que los verdes. También hay un par de esculturas junto al camino. El WPT “Sin sendero // No path” marca un punto en el que el camino no está visible porque se camina sobre una alfombra de hojas. La única manera de continuar es ir comprobando con el GPS que seguimos el rumbo correcto (parece que los puntos rojos pintados en los troncos de los árboles también son una pista). La última sorpresa de la jornada es el laberinto de Katarri, un lugar lleno de rocas y piedras, todas cubiertas de musgo, en un bosque de hayas. En resumen, una ruta muy completa y con muchos atractivos. Muy recomendable. <<< English >>> We ascend the Opakua port from the homonymous village. As soon as we begin, we arrive at the Opakua Viewpoint, with views over the Sakana Corridor. Along the route we will find a couple of huts and forests of beech trees with some splendid specimens. Unfortunately, at this time of year they are leafless and ocher colors abound more than greens. There are also a couple of sculptures next to the road. The WPT "Sin sendero // No path" marks a point where the path is not visible because you walk on a carpet of leaves. The only way to continue is to check with the GPS that we follow the correct course (it seems that the red spots painted on the trunks of the trees are also a clue). The last surprise of the day is the Katarri labyrinth, a place full of rocks and stones, all covered in moss, in a forest of beech trees. In summary, a very complete route with many attractions.
