Sierra de Gibralgalia
This is a circular walk that goes up to the antennas on the Cerro de la Aguililla, then on through the hamlet of Gibralgalia, which boasts one bar and one corner shop!
The first section uses a very minor road until you eventually turn left onto a dirt track (using part of the obsolete Sendero PR A 118),which has been weathered away by the rain, but is still walkable.
Keep going until you reach the Mirador by the antennas, which have very good views of Zalea and Pizarra.
Today was wet and the air was full of Sahara dust so the panoramic views were obscured.
The Gibralgalia hamlet is small and quaint.
The return journey also used a minor road until you picked up the MA3400 (not a lot of traffic) to return to the off road parking at the start.

Hi again Tony! Sorry, just noticed this circular you did, before the 'Stingray' version this year. Would you say this one was a slightly more interesting circular instead of 2.1km each way from the park/start? Or what do you think about us doing a 'There and back' only...avoiding the main road? Thanks in advance!
Hi Hobbiit
This is probably the more interesting walk of the two
Let me know how you get on
Thanks for this trail Tony, we finally got round to doing it this morning! Good weather and views. Nice amount of up and down to get the body moving after the festive season!
