Itinerary description
I completed this walk with a friend. We are both in our sixties. I am sharing this information with you because, near to the start of the walk, there is an information panel which classifies the difficulty of the walk as high, and the duration as 8 hours. This gave us a shock as it was already 11a.m on a November morning, and according to the notice we would be completing the last few kilometres in the dark! (There are no street lights in the mountains!)
Due to the fact that the night before I had studied a topographical map of the area, I knew with certainty that there were no steep parts to the walk, and apart from the distance there didn´t appear to be any reason to classify this walk as “difficult”. In addition because our normal walking speed is 4.5 K.P.H, we should be able to complete the walk in about 5 hours.
In my opinion the level of difficulty for this walk is “low” (possible medium if you are not accustomed to walking long routes), and the duration 5 hours.
We walked slightly faster than normal, took two half hour breaks, and completed it in 5 hours and 10 mins.
