LOS CAHORROS DE MONACHIL
Amazing gorge of the Monachil river that even goes underground for a while .
And then a bit of slope to go back by the Cerro Huenes and farming areas of the village to see good vistas of the Granada Metropolitan Area .

This route is not quite possible anymore, as of the point where you need to go up steep after leaving the river, the path is overgrown. Instead, follow the route straight ahead, to walk the circular de los Cahorros, which makes it 10,2 km. Otherwise: very boring start on concrete and asphalt, stunning middle part in the np, and again, long and boring part to walk back to Monachil again. A great hike with a good variety of scenery from the gorges to the rugged mountaintops and the distant views from the high points.
Also in November is the added bonus of autumn foliage decorating some areas with gold.
