Itinerary description
The most challenging part of this hike was the drive to the starting point! Through Güéijar Sierra a Nissan Qashqai felt like a really oversized car. Anyway, be careful through the village and along the very narrow road after, including the tunnels.
Maybe the best hike of the seven ones I did during a week in SIerra Nevada.
Vert easy to follow trails through the valley - where you get very different views from above outbound and from the bottom of the valley way back.
Vereda de la Estrella is quite a popular hiking destination still through quite remote areas where you are not recommended to hike on your own. I made it back alone though.
There is prettymuch wildlife long the route and you have good chances to see some of it both on the ground and up in the air - keep your eyes open.
Ther are also a few refuges along the way where you can get some shelter in case of bad weather - I was lucky and could have my lunch with a spectacular view over the mountains.
I have graded it as difficult mostly because of te distance and quite much altitude gain - but the hike as such is definitely not difficult but very enjoyable.
