Itinerary description
This beautiful tour takes you from Cabra to Zuheros through the Parque Natural Sierras Subbeticas. With a little bit of Luck you can see vultures.
Description:
The first part of the way climbs up through Cabra's olive plantations. A horse farm marks the highest point. A road leads downwards to a hiking car park, the starting point of the "Sendero Rio Bailon" leading to Zuheros. The way is even now, leading through meadowland to a small river. In the second half it touches the more natural parts of the natural park. The path finally descents to Zuheros between rocky hills.
Difficulty:
Mainly gravel roads and easy footpaths.
The 600m ascent in the beginning and the total distance of 20km need some endurance.
There is not much shadow!
Bus:
A bus service is operating between Cabra and Zuheros.
At the time when we did the walk the departure times from Zuheros to Baena were: 8:25, 10:55, 13:25, 17:25, 18:30 (all weekdays)
The GPS track starts and ends at the bus stops.
