SL-A 180 Sendero Canteras Azules, Coín

This is a circular walk with great panoramic views, going up to the summit of Cerro Gordo (629m). The climb of around 200m is gradual and not too hard

I started from the Ciudad del Cine (the old Eldorado film studios), as there is plenty of parking. Also I did it in reverse because I found this way a lot easier.

I added three small diversions to the original Sendero that’s worth doing.

1. Above the Coin Quarry, with good panoramic views
2. To the Antennas and bird hide with 360 degree views
3. Diversion to Vistas Cantera Azules.

This is a great short hike that takes about 2.5 hours. It is a peaceful location with great views (Bay of Málaga, Sierra Alpujata, Torrecilla, Sierra de Mijas to name a few).
