Itinerary description

Found the idea in a Wikiloc publication of somebody else. Tried to combine that one with a trail presented in the book "Escursionismo d'autore nella terra degli Etruschi" (starting page 33). Both failed miserably: parked the car comfortably at the end of Via G. di Vittorio. There, a gravel road gets x
you steep up the mountain. There is, after 400 m, a massive gate to the right, leading into a natural reserve with several highlights to visit. However, it was locked, leaving as the only alternative continue the steep uphill walk on the gravel road, the sides left and right are fenced, no escape possible. Not even good views are being offered.
Decision was made to walk to the town of Soriano and see the famous "Faggeta" on Mt. Cimino going there by car (great parking there). Both turned out to be right. The town of Soriano, overseen by the castle Orsini, is very pittoresque and worth a trip. Unfortunely, Castle as well most of shops/were closed due to Corona lockdown no. 3. However, overall the trip was worth doing.
