Itinerary description
This route follows the PR 20 for the majority of its length with only one small but interesting deviation. The walk follows an old path above the CA 1. Unfortunately the last couple of kilometres to Tielve have to be walked on the road. We headed out of Tielve on the PR 20 but managed to lose it when it headed up to the track to Renduenes. Instead we followed what was probably the original path up to the Majadas del Collado de Tabaos. The path can clearly be seen on the aerial view of the route. The Majadas del Collado de Tabaos is a beautiful location and the views of the surrounding peaks are spectacular. Here we picked up the PR 20 again and followed it back to Sotres.

The diversion from the P20 is difficult terrain to navigate. We estimated that because of this it added and extra 90 minutes to our walk. We would recommend following only the P20 route. The diversion route is overgrown and the pathways disappear frequently. The three of us regretted following this route for the reasons outlined above.
