Itinerary description
This tour is located on the northern edge of the volcanic caldera "Caldera de Tejeda" (caldera means cooking pot, i.e. crater). Its a varied route along the dividing line between the north and south of the Gran Canaria. Half the tour is uphill, the second half downhill, and a large part of the route runs along forest tracks with gentle slopes. The destination is Artenara, one of the highest towns in Gran Canaria, located at an altitude of 1270 metres.
Final stop ist the Centro de Interpretación del Paisaje Cultural de Risco Caído y Montañas Sagradas in Artenara, a museum about the inhabitants of Gran Canaria before spanish arrival (last pic).
Back to Hostal La Isa only on foot or hitchhiking (no busses).

Enjoyed the trail but misunderstood your backtracking by the fountain and ended up on the wrong side of the ravine! A good distance and would recommend.
