Itinerary description
Since the stage for today is rather long, we decided to split it into two and walk each 15 km today and tomorrow. Today, we walked from O Cadavo to a tiny village Vilar de Cas. The first part was beautiful again, since, like the last few days, the sun came up while the clouds and mist were still hanging over the fields. This lasted a few hours, until we reached Castroverde, a small village with a couple of bars to eat and drink something.
From there, it was about 7 km more to our endpoint of today, which was easily doable. We arrived at a fantastic albergue, run by a family (father, mother, 2 sons and grandma) from the same village. Brand new, super clean, great interior and garden. The family holds cows and a couple of other animals, so it was a great place to stop with the kids. They served amazing empanada and we also had a great diner there with excellent meat (the mother also runs a butchery). They were lovely people, very open and with a natural kindness. This was the best accommodation and hosts of our whole Primitivo so far!
