Itinerary description
This hike is relatively easy and takes approximately one hour each way.
The path to Nåli is well marked with information boards regarding the hike. There is also information of the surrounding countryside, both at the start of the tour at Stalheim, and at its destination in Nåli.
Because of its difficult access, the Nåli farm (The Needle farm) was abandoned around 1925/1930, but the remnants of the houses and the stone walls still bear witness to the sweat and toil of those who made their living on the farm.
I recommend to start the hike with a visit to lookout point, located in the Stalheim Hotel.
