Itinerary description

This trail starting and ending at Silvermine East (Gate 2) ascends to Steenberg High peak and viewpoint before descending down to the communication towers and then back up again to Muizenberg Peak/Beacon. After summiting the peaks the trail follows the course of the jeep track on the way out. All round a rather easy well demarcated trail with spectacular views over false bay, the southern suburbs, Kommetjie and Simonstown, elevation gain is reletively minimal as the starting and ending points are at a higher altitude when compared to the Surrounds.
