A great trail that we pushed through and completed in 3hrs 37mins....to the Plane Wreck and back and with a brief stop at Westray's Grave. Mind you, that is pushing it at a rapid pace with two other young men that were happy to smash the time on this trail!
I always have great respect for the original survivors of this trail and the rescuers that got them out. If you're into the history of the plane crash, here's a really cool movie that was made back in the day about this event:

Worthwhile seeing if you intend hiking to the wreckage to make you appreciate the trail experience more.
Loads of ribbon markers on this trail these days - what could go wrong???
Also passed a bunch of crazy wild women that were on their way up when we were descending..... Love the fact that those girls weren't scared to tackle this trail, putting a lot of blokes to absolute shame! Good on them - you crazy wild women of Lamington National Park!! I tip my hat off to you... and to the Yowi creature that lives in these parts.

Definitely next level hike for me. The track was very steep and slippery in parts and my shoes were caked with mud - but I made it relatively unscathed, just a few bruises and some wait a while wounds 😂 thanks for the map!!
