Itinerary description
Veleta peak (3.396 over sea level) is one of the most Sierra Nevada's alluring summits as for the great interest from hikers and visitors to reach one of the Spanish highest colossus (perhaps owing to its better accessibility throughout a road considered as the highest in Europe). The route sets off from Pradollano Ski Resort, and it is possible to drive in up to a small plateau called "Hoya de la Mora". Starting from there, motor vehicles are not allowed, so you must go on foot.

Deviation from the road ahead of arriving to Pradollano Ski Resort.

Veleta summit (3.396 m over sea level). It is the Spanish fourth highest altitude, below Teide peak (Canary Islands), Mulhacén peak (Sierra Nevada as well) and Aneto peak (Pyrenees).
Río Veleta
Veleta river. Sets off from Vasares lake, on the Sierra Nevada's Mediterranean south slope. Eventually flows into Guadalfeo river.
