From Sukkertoppen (The Sugar Top), you can get a magnificent 360 view with both Alesund city, coast and fjord in one or.... you have to use your imagination if you get fog and pouring weather :)
Sukkertoppvegen road starts at the roundabout in Hessaskaret, just outside Ålesund (you can get there by local bus). Follow the road westwards until you find the sign where the trail starts. The trail was muddy, rocky with a few steep ascents. The rainy weather and running streams made the rocks slippery so good boots is a must.
