Itinerary description
This track is part of the Sultanstrail, a cultural long-distance hiking trail between Vienna and Istanbul. This track starts at the Stanbul gate of Kalemegdan, the notorious fortress of Belgrade and leads through the hills on the south bank of the Danube river, via mount Avala and Grocka to the ancient fortress of Smederevo. It passes fields, woods and numerous orchards (apples, peaches, grapes).
