Itinerary description
A beautiful hiking trail starting from the entrance gate to Finca Murta. This farm is public although we will have to be careful in times of hunting.
I consider the ascent to the Padrón through the Garganta del Parroso a delight despite being dry or with very little water; and stagnant. We are already close to February 2022 and the serious rains are not coming, the ones that fill swamps and leave the natural park brimming with life.
To emphasize on this route, say that once arrived at the V.G. From Padrón I follow the firewall to Alto de Las Presillas and then link up with one of the main branches of Finca Murta. Such a connection requires attention.
Shortly after the vertex I pass the fence (broken), which I will now have on my right, to better go along a track. You will notice that the fence is weakened in many places.
Next, once I left the Alto de Las Presillas, I take advantage of a gap in the fence (relatively easy to pass) to connect with the lane and descend to the starting point, traversing everything I can.
See you at the mountains.
The path runs along the western slope of the Sierra de la Murta. During the tour, we walk along a path full of cork oaks and pine forests, leading us to the Piedra Orá, a sandstone arch that opens a window to an extensive landscape; even traces of human settlements, such as anthropomorphic tombs from the late Roman period belonging to southern art. The path continues until it enters the Garganta del Agua, where the Palmones River is born, surrounded by species such as gall oak and alder.
