Itinerary description
A varied and interesting hike taking in a variety of bushland and waterfall scenery in both Kondalilla and Mapleton National Park. Walking surface also varied from bush frack, shared 4WD and horse trails through forest, and some sections along country roads.
Securing the best campsite at Thilba Thalba walkers camp meant being only meters from stunning views, and arriving the following day at the Gheerulla Valley Viewpoint offered likewise stunning views.
All walkers camps en-route had reliable water tanks to resupply from, as well as a selection of waterfalls also were options.
Transport arrangements require two cars or alternatively a taxi booked to take you to the trailhead at Lake Baroon after parking at the Great Walk finish on Delicia Rd, which you also pass on the outbound leg.
