Itinerary description
Warning: experienced only. This is a very beautiful route with stunning views. The walk on the GR is fairly easy but the ascend is steep and long. The ascend to Puig d’en Galileu (you leave the GR for this detour) is of medium difficulty. The ascend to Puig de Massanella (when you leave again the GR) is a bit more difficult but not a problem for experienced hikers. On our descend we decided to take a short cut straight to the ca de neu and not do the full return on the GR. This part turned out to be very difficult and involved climbing down a fairly steep area (see photos). However, about 50 meters further east there appeared to be an easier path so if you’re following a map take the east path to return to the GR.
