Today it was circular and simple but no less spectacular. A visit to Vietnam is not complete without a stop in the beautiful Sapa (Sa Pa) district of Lao Cai province. Sapa is home to the 3,143-meter-high Mount Fansipan, called the roof of Indochina, and the valleys invite hiking through the endless rice fields for which Sapa is famous. These trails encompass lush bamboo forests, large valleys and vibrant hillsides. This spectacular area is a great way to learn about local customs and immerse yourself in the culture. Sapa is also home to many ethnic minorities who live in picturesque villages and the beauty of its fields, especially during the rice harvest, makes its landscapes an irresistible attraction for walking and enjoying nature. Today's route can be called familiar, both because I have done it with my family, but it is also simple, for anyone, even children who are not very young and used to hiking, if it is not the rainy season when in the forest area bamboo there must be a lot of mud.
Halfway along the route a beautiful waterfall.
Walking through the mountains between rice fields, the main sustenance of the region, and we also passed panoramic viewpoints, waterfalls, forests or small hidden and remote villagers' houses.
We have gone on our own but you will see many groups that hire a local guide who helps to have contacts with the locals and will contribute to the local economy.
At the end of the route, in the village of Tả Van, we cross the famous Cau May Bridge, also known as the Cloud Bridge. We completed it in 2.50 hours with multiple stops to photograph along the 6.50 kilometers of the route around the village of Ta Van. The ethnic groups in the area are the Lao Chai (H`mong), Ta Van (Dzay) and Giang Ta Chai (Dzao). all the best.
