Tabaiba → Anaza ⭐⭐

We trekken ditmaal van Tabaiba naar Añaza langs een voor ons nog stuk onbekende kustlijn nabij de hoofdstad Santa Cruz. Het begin was makkelijk langs wat trappen en wandelpromenades maar hoe verder, hoe pittiger het werd. Merkwaardig om te zien hoe de Canarios hier wonen in complexen gebouwd langs de rotswanden. We trotseerden ook nog de Barraco Pilar om dan terug af te dalen tot het skelet van hotel Añaza, gebouwd in 1973 en nooit afgewerkt. Na nog een keienstrand van 300m en nog een steile klim op een bouwvallige oude trap bereikten we ons einddoel in Añaza.

ES: En esta ocasión viajamos de Tabaiba a Añaza por un tramo de costa aún desconocido para nosotros cerca de la capital Santa Cruz. La salida fue fácil por unas escaleras y paseos peatonales, pero cuanto más lejos, más difícil se volvió. También desafiamos el Barraco Pilar antes de descender de nuevo al esqueleto del hotel Añaza, construido en 1973 y nunca terminado. Después de otra playa de guijarros de 300m y otra subida empinada por una vieja escalera en ruinas, llegamos a nuestro destino final en Añaza.

ENG: This time we travel from Tabaiba to Añaza along a stretch of coastline still unknown to us near the capital Santa Cruz. The start was easy along some stairs and pedestrian promenades but the further, the more difficult it got. It is remarkable to see how the Canarios live here in complexes built along the rock walls. We also braved the Barraco Pilar before descending back to the skeleton of the hotel Añaza, built in 1973 and never finished. After another 300m pebble beach and another steep climb up a dilapidated old staircase, we reached our final destination in Añaza.
