Itinerary description
Fort Bravo/Texas Hollywood is a Western-styled theme park, and still an active movie set. It is an easy 3.5 km walk from Tabernas. The entrance fee is a rather steep (especially by Spanish standards) 20 euro's, but in my opninion it's a good way to spend a relaxing afternoon.
It was built in the early 1970s. There is a Western part featuring a blacksmith, jail, hotel, gallows and clapboard buildings from the American Old West era. The Spanish set consists of a town square, a church, and houses found in a typical Mexican pueblo. Mock shoot-outs and barroom brawls are staged by some amateur actors four times a day.
