Itinerary description
18 12 2019
This walk starts near the Refugio de Juanar hotel. Park just past the hotel.
There is a small path to the right that goes though a wooded area of chestnut trees and eucalyptus trees. After a while you come to a clearing with olive trees.
Tajo negro is the mountain opposite Cruz de Juanar.
After you arrive to the main road you take a path in the woods on your left.
It is a steady incline up to the first summit which has a small weather station and aerials for the Guardia civil. From here you go back down a little and the take a path to the right,
After ten minutes you arrive to the peak of Tajo Negro with beautiful 360 degree views.
The descent is a bit stony. There are a lot of cairns to guide you down. A little detour to your right brings you to the Mirador del Corzo. From here it's a short walk back to the car park. It is a medium hill wall. Walking poles would be handy although not essential.
This is a hidden walk in Juanar well worth the effort.

Goede wandelschoenen zijn nodig. Let ook op het weer, met name de wind kan zo omslaan. Het was een hele spannende route!
