Itinerary description

An adventurous walk from Tamaimo following old caminos to El Molledo. From here, the waymarked path is followed to the old goat farm by Roque Blanco. Returning from the goat farm, the main path is left for a rough, difficult path along a rocky ridge to join the path at Degollada El Roque. From here, an easy route is followed downhill to the camino real, which is then followed back to Tamaimo. Because of the rocky ridge descent, I have given this walk a 'difficult' classification. The ridge descent can be omitted by simply returning to the outskirts of El Molledo via the same route and then descending via one of two paths back to Tamaimo.
Note: I initially missed the path from Tamaimo to El Retamar so ignore this part of the trail.

Completed this trail recently. Pleasant walk up to El Molledo, only the last 200m is steeper. Once at the finger post you can follow the easier lower route contouring round the hill. The higher route is more challenging and not recommended in bad weather. Once at Risco Blanco there is a waymarked trail to the Delgado. This is rough and exposed in places, although there are new steel wire safety holds in two locations. The walk from the Delgado is straightforward back onto the Camino Real and Tamaimo. The views throughout are magnificent
