Itinerary description
Pour cette troisième étape, le GRP continue dans le Parc Régional des Landes de Gascogne et s'enfonce dans le delta de l'Eyre. Le randonneur longe le cours d'eau; cette zone humide est propice à l'observation ornithologique. Au niveau du relais nature de Lamothe (point d'information sur le delta), un pont permet de franchir le petit fleuve et de prendre la direction de Facture. Avant cette commune d'où jaillit la cheminée d'une fabrique de cellulose, l'itinéraire bifurque vers le nord et le petit port de Biganos aux charmantes baraques de pêcheurs. Puis le promeneur se rend à Audenge en longeant bois et prairies qui bordent le bassin.
For this third stage, the GRP continues into the Regional Park of Landes de Gascogne and deeps into the delta of the Eyre river. The hike moves along the river; this wetland is favourable to bird watching. At the Lamothe Nature road house (information point on the delta), a bridge allows hikers to cross the river and heads towards Facture. Before this town from which flows the chimney of a cellulose factory, the route branches off to the north and the small port of Biganos with its charming fishing huts. Then the walker travels to Audenge along woods and meadows bordering the bay.
