Itinerary description
Descent from Fuente Dé cable car station to Hotel del Oso via Refugio Aliva & Pembes. Good even track, easy to follow, needs a sunny day to fully appreciate vistas. Descends over 1400m, and for untrained walkers the descent into Pembes after 4 -5 hours can be painful on the knees. Should easily be possible in 5 1/2 hours for trained hiker (we had never made such a long descent). Should be great on a mountain bike!
